Each Vice President approaches the role differently some take on a specific document collection, while others serve simply as a consultant to the President.

The main responsibility of the Vice President of the United States is to simply be ready at a moment’s notice to assume the Presidency if the President is unable to perform his duties. This can be because of the death of the President, resignation, or perhaps a temporary incapacitation. The Vice President also serves as the President of the United States Senate, where he or she casts the deciding vote in the case of a tie, unless in the case of tiebreaking votes.

The EOP, also known as the Executive Office of the President is managed by the White House Chief of Staff, Mark Meadows. The EOP has usually been home to many of the President’s closest advisers. But Senate confirmation is required for a few of the advisers, like the Director of the Office of Management and Budget, most are appointed with full Presidential preference.

The several different offices that these advisors manage have definitely grown in size since the EOP was created. The Congress has formed some of those offices, and the others because the President has needed them desperately. The present EOP has recently been employing over 1,800 people.
